Last week at Catch One, IHEARTCOMIX hosted the party of the 2023 holiday season. The event’s lineup was kept secret aside from a day-of post from Zedd, which led to the last few tickets immediately selling out. Fans happily braved the rain as they lined up around the block waiting to see what other surprises were in store for them.

Last night, we were fortunate enough to witness Twin Temple as they opened for Behemoth at the Observatory North Park in San Diego, CA. Satanic doo-wop duo Alexandra and Zachary James sauntered on stage from the shadows to begin their pre-show ritual with the audience, including what appeared to be holy water, or perhaps unholy water, gongs, and plenty of “Hail Satan!” The crowd proudly raised their devil horns to the sky while Zachary and Alexandra smiled on approvingly.
If you were anywhere near the Kia Forum from the early morning of September 11 through the late night of September 12, you may have spotted the Children of Ghost congregating on the sidewalks in their unholy vestments. Starting around 4:00 - 5:00 AM, fans of the Swedish Satanic metal group began camping out for a chance to be on the highly-coveted barricade, trading kandi bracelets adorned with charms and phrases such as “Hail Satan” and the names of their favorite Ghouls and songs. As the sun came up and the line continued to grow, so did the excitement and chaos as the venue had no idea there would be such a massive turnout so early in the day. As crowds of fans were shuffled around the parking lot, it was clear that this show was not one to be missed by Ghost fans, local or international. Three local fans even organized a masquerade-themed event the weekend prior to celebrate the band's performances and meet fellow fans who traveled from out of town.
Over the last few months, Ghost’s frontman Tobias Forge has hinted at the Forum shows being different from the rest of the tour and that they’d potentially be recording the entire show professionally. After much speculation of what these differences would entail - new songs? new Papa? - all was revealed on Monday night and it was a sight to be seen. After a very eventful year including numerous television appearances, a world tour announcement, and becoming the first trans artist to win a Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance - Kim Petras is back with a new album.
Last night at Zénith de Rouen marked the first night of Ghost’s Re-Imperatour. With the release of Ghost’s new EP, Phantomime, and Tobias’s recent interviews teasing “changes'' in the near future, fans were eager to see what was in store for them.
In January, a mysterious poster appeared on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood, CA, stating, “Jesus Is Coming” while Papa IV glared down on the curious Ghost fans who came to visit the him. We interviewed Ghost’s manager, Kristen Mulderig, and asked how we should prepare for Jesus’s arrival to which she gleefully replied, “just pay attention.” Since then, fans have been on the edge of their seats, speculating and theorizing what was to come. Is this the end of Papa IV? Is Papa IV the Antichrist? Are we getting an album? Is Papa Nihil involved in the new music?
Greta Van Fleet’s Dreams in Gold Tour has come to a close, and things are turning silver. Over the last few weeks, the band’s Instagram story has teased a new single using a countdown of silver emblems, instead of the usual gold aesthetic fans have become so accustomed to.
On Monday night, the children of Ghost gathered at Knucklehead in Hollywood to celebrate the lore and music of the band Ghost. Not only was the event attended by LA fans, but there were also many fans who drove/flew in from all parts of the country to be in attendance.
